Thread: Building a custom Distro based on Debian/Ubuntu

hello have few questions building custom debian/ubuntu distro. after digging around in forums , searching found bit on software/scripts can used build one. i'm trying build os (mainly) nettops , netbooks, can run on other systems. web/cloud os (chrome os/jolicloud) can used without internet also.

want customizing wise.
-custom background
-strip down bit
-remove , add software
-custom bootscreen
-add name of distro debian/ubuntu placed at
-tweak boot time


found software/scripts.
remastersys
novo builder
reconstructor

one, in opinion good?
there other besides these 3 debian/ubuntu?

remastersys 1 see recommended. other 2 have never heard of.

i'm toying around making own distro personal use, though going wrong way. i'm winging , thinking can combine things un-combinable.

question: debian system, wouldn't easier ubuntu mini , install basic packages , go there rather taking , stripping down? (i don't know answer question)

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
