Thread: Display all fuzzy when booting Ubuntu 11.04 Live on MacBook ...

(i did quick search , didn't see similar post anywhere, if missed please re-direct me.)

lot of you, have couple of macbook's refit installed. downloaded 11.04 (both 32-bit , 64-bit editions) , went through steps of making "live", memory resident, versions of ubuntu boot off usb thumbdrives.

surprisingly, worked compared of issues faced when tried ubuntu 10.xx. problem is, video display/driver (i think.) once purple ubuntu boot screen, 90% of display fuzzy: colors racing , down screen vertically, when tv's in mid-80's on bad vhf channel. same thing happens when try ubuntu variants popular backtrack (www.backtrack-linux.org) tool collection.

guessing right? driver issue? else?

can post screenshots, etc. if help.

wow. guess lucky macbook owner happening to... (?)

seems driver issue. other non-ubuntu forums had more info on problem. apparently it's nvidia problem has been documented before 1 nvidia refuses acknowledge real issue. there workarounds, none work 100% , give native resolution of screen.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
