Thread: Fixing Boot Menu
last night installed ubuntu run-as-a-program (windows installer) thing but, having used ubuntu in past , moved data separate nas (network attached storage) server, instead opted dual-boot installation in traditional sense... @ point, un-installed unbuntu "program" , installed ubuntu traditional way, configuring system dual-boot microsoft's windows vista: home premium.
problem is, have 2 boot menus, 1 refers "traditional" ubuntu installation , 1 refers (now un-installed) ubuntu-as-a-program (unbuntu installer) thing!
1st boot screen (not actual wording)
* windows vista
* ubuntu
* of other login options installed linux
if click ubuntu, go straight ubuntu installation, if click windows vista option, taken second boot screen...
2nd boot screen (not actual wording)
* windows vista
* ubuntu
second boot screen used select ubuntu-as-a-program (unbuntu installer) thing, prior un-installing it...
ideas on how rid of second boot screen, when click "windows vista", goes straight windows vista (which happen "traditional" linux installation)?
