Thread: how to allow a user to run nice with negative values


hi,

have added /etc/security/limits.conf:

code:
teo -  nice  -20
where teo name of regular user. however, if try run command with:

nice -n -20 somecommand

(or -8 or negative value matter), still get:

code:
nice: cannot set niceness: permission denied
how can allow user "teo" run nice , renice negative nicenesses without sudoing?
