Thread: Mount 'Local Disk' easily in Unity?
i've upgraded 10.10 11.04 , still getting used unity. i'll keep perservering while. however, can't work out how mount local disk's ntfs partition easily.
10.10 (and others before it), mouse click on ubuntu icon, select places, 'local disk'. disc mounted , i'd have access files need. quick , easy.
11.04, after messing around, i've found can click on 'home' icon in launcher, opens nautilus. in there can change left hand view default of 'tree' 'places' , list of places can select 'local disk', changing view 'tree'. long winded process.
don't seem able "stick" 'local disk' icon in launcher, , can't see way of accessing quickly. i'm trying positive upgrade, it's not easy.
ideas?
wow, forgot posted this.
in case else has problem, ended (a few months later) adding disc mounter applet top panel. showed icon local disc, able mount , unmount required.
