Thread: Problem with sound in new desktop

hi have new comp , have installed ubuntu 10:10 on it. listen music , play runescape java online game. can't play music @ , can't sound effects in runescape can music of game online. have unmuted in gnome alsa , using headset works fine other computer.

mb m4a78lt-m , im getting 2 sound cards in sound preferences, onboard , rs780 azalia controller (hdmi) stereo
in alsa says have 2 sound cards via vt1708s , ati rs690/780 hdmi , have 2 tabs tab ati 1 empty, no sliders or configure.

in terminal put in aplay -l

can advise me how sound right please?

i found asus motherboard support on asus site , dl , followed instructions. concentrated on reinstalling sound thought i'd broke decided use onboard sound , rebooted, headset kicked in after set sound preferences , unmuted in gnome alsa again .. happened have uprising muse running test sound ))) wow!i may shouting week till ears adjust.. no idea worked thats did if it's use anyone.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
