Thread: Two wifi Simultaneous Networks?

newbie - following new motherboard install i've done clean install of 10.10. @ first, using default network manager wifi connect router - had upturned radar beam type icon in top panel showing me strength of signal , access, right clicking on it, things enable networking, enable wireless, etc. read installing wicd via synaptic install wicd , remove default network manager, did. wifi ok still have upturned radar type icon , new wicd icon in top panel. expecting upturned radar icon disappear - correct? if right click on radar icon can click on edit connections option , change things - appears have both default network manager , wicd working @ same time.

hi, think have uninstall through software center or synaptic, have seen people removed , lost there network connection, might not happen since have wicd installed not sure of proceed @ own risk.
