hi due fake microsd cards in card readers (which destroyed card readers) usb detection has been upset. if fire live cd (same pc) usb devices detected. on installation used work fine, detects usb devices, not others (on same usb port). in other words, port working devices, , not others, works fine using live cd. cant find reference of how flush usb history/cache each device plugged in new instantiation. if this, believe fix problem. know how this? vm. alistair. dear all,   i working on user manuals in structured framemaker environment, creating books.   in each document, working top-level element called mainchapter , assign attributes specify product, version number , language of user manual. these attributes used in variables in running footer display said information.   when generate toc book, there no element called mainchapter (as unstructured fm file). therefore, understand values of attributes assigned in other documents not available , not displayed.   is there way somehow implement information in toc file? or have manually update every time toc generated?   some appreciated. typically, book can structured document contains book root element contains elements corresponding root elements in each of documents in book. unstructured content (text) can wrapped in special toc element. toc element becomes element within book's root element. toc element can have attributes itself, other mainchapter elements do.  ...

i have load of files on usb stick duplicated on sd card. i've added couple of small files stick, shows having 29.9gb of 32gb used. however, when tried copy same files card, received message < error creating directory: no space left on device >. card contains same files. deleted 6gb , still got error message when tried copy new files over, though card shows having 26.3gb used out of 33gb. why getting message? welcome ubuntu forums. 1 reason may deleted files still in trash bin. trash bin must emptied before space freed up. try right clicking trash bin see if emptying solves problem. if doesn't, open file browser , folder on device called .trash-1000 (or similar). note it's hidden folder. contains deleted files well. inspect contents, can delete shift-del. here guide on other disk space issues affect users , how resolve them: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1122670 ...
