hi all i'm programmer (c/c++/java) unix/linux knowledge not sys admin , need installing. have 2 laptops (with vista have keep) , need run ubuntu on both machines server , desktop various type of testing. example need boot 1 of laptops in server mode , other in desktop mode use both in network test various software. however, need boot both in server mode test other machines, , need boot both in desktop mode. ok basics of dual boot systems i'm not sure best way install both server , desktop versions. create enough partitions 2 separate installs; i'm not keen on doing that. possible install both versions in same partitions , have 2 boot options start in either server or desktop mode? can advice please? thanks. i have installed 1 version (desktop) , added tools turn "desktop" "sever" (apache / openssh-server / etc) - ad hoc.... sure there millions of ways slice this...but d...

the toggleswitch introduced in 4.6 looks great component gives mobile feel otherwise simple checkbox.  while dissapointed new skin required set selected , unselected labels, can through that.   the issue having use of toggleswitch inside scroller.  if place toggleswitch inside scroller , fill rest of scroller enough content, vertical scrolling action of scroller interfere toggleswitch's horizontal scrolling.  while using toggleswitch move left right, if user barely moves or down, scroller scroll.  break interaction toggleswitch.  snap toggleswitch closest position, left or right.  however, many times toggleswitch's thumb within middle 2/3 of toggleswitch.  in case, thumb hang in middle of switch!   this can confusing user, selection not completed.  while may appear toggleswitch has no selection, or (just almost) in selected/unselected state... in opposite state.   has found kind of workaround issue? anyone have idea? hi guys,   been banging head issue while. when i'm in edit view in audition 5.5 & scroll/zoom in on waveform there's quite bit of lag (i'm using kensington trackball mouse), i'm running mac pro tower (2 x 2.8 ghz quad-core, 8 gb ram) should have no problem it. however, i'm using apple hd cinema 30" display & i've done little bit of testing, result when make wave form smaller/tiny (horizontally) adjusting waveform panel/frame in audition, that's when zoom/scroll works smoothly, make decent workable size again lag kicks in. i bought new ati radeon hd 5770 graphics card assuming solve problem, unfortunately didn't. my display resolution set 2560 x 1600 & below looks horrible, setting lower resolution not option. high resolution issue? another thing need mention macbookpro laptop, there's absolutely no issue scroll/zoom on size of waveform (tested kensington trackball mouse too). all audition settings same on both systems too.   any info...

bridge cs4 i have series of images 1280x2048@300dpi. trying save them pdf 1 image per page. have gotten of settings work, except size.   i saving custom layout , size, width of 1280px, height of 2048px, quality of 300ppi, 1 column , 1 row, no margins.   however, when save pdf , open in preview , display @ actual size, larger should be. appearing 1900 pixels in width, , of course quite pixelated.   anyone know why happening , how can stop it? not sure mean 'significantly larger'. size of pdf measured in inches or mm, , size on screen controlled zoom percentage.  cannot expect pdfs open such in 1 particular image pixels same screen pixels if that's hoping.  isn't photoshop , 100% view not same. this repeat question, sorry, i'm still having problem getting working distribution p12 certificate organization i'm working with.   i building single edition.   it appears developer , distribution mobile provisioning correct, p12 developer certificate working fine , tested developer app.   i've had oit office create distribution p12 certificate me twice , each time same error when trying sign certificate , password on computer, "not finding expected label 'iphone distribution:' in certificate" (see image below)   since i'm working outside , relying on oit staff provide me correct signing certificate...am sol? or need usurp someone's desk in office build certificate myself? can tell me in certificate/p12 certificate process iphone distribution label clicked/selected, etc.   i realize there simple solution.  thank help!   http://forums.adobe.com/message/4211967   download publishing companion guide dps dasboard more info on how create certificates...

this question posted in response following article: http://help.adobe.com/en_us/director/11.5/usingscripting/wsc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811d64c1a 1b3-6c2b.html i've never understood why director has both "save" command , "save , compact".  when ever want save without doing whatever doing when save , compact (when don't compact, you're keeping lot of excess bloat around).   anyway, bring here because realized if keep saving castlib on , on same file name, same kind of bloat creep.  highly recommend save other temporary filename , save original filename avoid this.  (unless or until adobe changes behavior.) i'm having huge problem colors in color managed web browsers such safari.  i'm pretty sure unchecking convert srgb cure problem it's permanently enabled.   for insance "color settings" set monitor color rgb set off.  , follow these steps.   create new document small size , profile set "web" fill art area rectangle hash color of #3693c6 , no stroke ensure assign profile set don't color manage... go save web set png-24 (and try , fail uncheck convert srgb) add png img element barebones html file background-color: #3693c6 body's style view in safari , img rendered many shades off background color.   i know theory web srgb , so should png don't want colors shifted @ all, when doing web elements don't care colors aren't stable across differen't ppl's monitors because css colors won't either, need exact color values css.   please help, i'm sure illustrator used ok web design not seem case anymore. mrkisthatkid wrote:   ......
