hi everyone. i've started own editing business local tv network in argentina. i'm on mac, editing mid 2011 mac mini (intel hd300).   the thing i'd love move ppro cs6 since final cut getting old now, cannot because output second monitor choppy, pauses, resumes later, doesn't give reliable realtime video editors need, specially when showing final product client every week. when editing 1 display, don't have issue.   i'm editing sony mts files taken perfectly, sequence hd (1440 x 1080) , output done through hdmi port of mac. in good-old-final cut 7 works perfectly, have transcode files first. it's not issue of mts files, cause i've tried different types of files , sequences , ppro gives me same results on secondary display.   which leads me 2 questions: - need have mercury playback enabled proper secondary output? hi! i installed photoshop cs6 , had no problem ever first week. due incident removed photoshop , reinstalled it. i'm having problem gpu acceleration.   my computer has 2 graphics cards, geforce gtx 460(primary screen & projector) , geforce 210(secondary screen). photoshop detects gtx460 , uses it. when move photoshop secondary screen can't see documents. it's gray screen.   i had photoshop cs5.5 installed before , had no problem using secondary screen, installed ps cs 6 pararell ps cs 5.5 , had no problem. then removed ps cs 5.5, still no problem. reinstalled ps cs 6 , doesn't work.   it obiusly worked few days ago set up, , doesn't. i might ad unchecking use graphics processor fixing problem. but wanna have nice gpu features.   what can problem? due incident removed photoshop , reinstalled it. how did remove it? manually or did uninstall? my wife has msi a6000 series laptop , has dual booted ubuntu 10.04 lts , windows7 came with. spends of time in ubuntu on ac adapter, on off time unplugs take laptop somewhere battery monitor reports charge level @ 96% , there 4 minutes of life. after 2 minutes on batter laptop shuts down. if start , go windows7 there 3.5 hours of life on battery. i've been scouring google , these forums better part of 2 hours , can't seem find way correct battery reporting issues. out there have experience kind of issue? in advance. laptop specs here should have posted sooner. tho, doesn't matter because noone has replied this. fixed issue using command in terminal: code: gconftool-2 --type bool --set /apps/gnome-power-manager/general/use_time_for_policy false it forces battery go percentage , not try caclulate estimated life span in minutes (which doesn't well). aproximately same batte...

so here's long story short: recently i've bought old hp xw8600 workstation (dual xeon 5430@2.66ghz, 8gb ddr2, 2x146gb sas hdd@15.000rpm, nvidia quadro fx4600). the price $550. know amount of money, in buy i5 2500k system, here in eastern europe (romania), need @ least $1000 such system. think made deal on one.... but... yes there's but! i've got old intel quad q6600@2.4ghz, 4gb ddr2, radeon hd3870... workstation should have been nice upgrade current system. the dual xeon cpus setup doubles computational power, @ least in benchmarks. and considering macpro's run dual xeons, i've figured, "hey, machine blow photoshop , illustrator cs6 out of water!". boy... wrong! both ps , ai cs6 on windows have strange way of dealing more cpu 4 cores. to surprise, hp workstation performing slower old q6600 in both ps , ai cs6. checking out cpu activity, i've discovered strange... , here's image illustrate this: i've noticed same cpu activity on quad i7 cpus...

i'm trying generate pdf database.   i display data in tables can 2 or 3 rows or 100 rows , multiple sheets.  problem is, tables break mid row.   fine, on next page, table 'open' no top border.   i have tried 2 methods far:   1. cfdocument creating pdf.  having difficult time lack of normal css control.  can't seem right.   2.  create normal page, print pdf.  method, because have lot more control on of tables.     both of these methods result in pagination issue.   so, question is:   1.  there solution either of these on pagination? 2.  there method unaware of?     i thank in advance consideration. here looks like:       [img] http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab186/dawiesner/paginationwoes.jpg [/img]     this option tried - flashpaper print pdf. i made animatc part of planning 7 min animated video on premiere pro using 24p project, trunsting ruler set 24 fps , time displayed real time of video (not ndf time), since there no indication on premiere's create sequence window ruler on ndf basis. i have following situation @ our organisation 1 of our users.   printer: kyocera fs1030d kyocera km-c3225   i have 1 user not able print pdf files in our network. (user chris) printing word document or notepad works fine.   to specific: the user using windows 7 pro 64 bits. we have citrix environment.   when user trying print pdf file follow following steps: open pdf file. go to: file -> print -> select printer use. hit print button.   now pop comes loading pdf file printed. hey guys, last night working on project, program crashed , overwrote file blank file. had start over. there way create folder keeps backup of every file goes automatically. example, create x.txt. after overwrite it pushes original x0.1.txt , makes new x.txt. looking easiest , simplest solution possible. thanks! for normal editing, try gedit: preferences -> editor -> create backup copy of files before saving other that, rsync friend. if need on fly (or event-triggered) backups, may out of luck. interested in such solution myself. i'm working client made initial recording (using captivate 5.5 windows), audio during recording. on reviewing project file, 340 slides long, noticed starting @ around slide 90, audio 3 slides out of phase visuals. in other words, audio slide 93 describes action in slide 90.   does know how happened? is there slide/file size limit after audio gets out of phase? is there way "shift" audio clips 3 slides backwards without manually re-inserting audio clips library manually each slide? (this involve on 200 slides.)   i noticed client tended click while speaking, there lot of short unnecessary slides, don't think have caused phase problem -- or it? this issue occurs large projects containing hundreds of slides audio has been recorded single file.  basically, each pc , browser handle rendering , playing of file differently , @ different speeds.   the best way have slides synched nicely audio make sure voiceover not loading 1 huge audio file.  if person captured of di...

i had buy new computer , re-installed pse 10 , color efex pro 4. having problems color efex pro 4, when bring color efex 4 filters appears in image area colored squares. other times works, when save pse 10 not show effect, scrambled blocks in parts of photo image. ideas? have tried un-intalling, re-installing , registration code still since licensed 2 computers. try resetting pse preferences:  hold down ctrl+alt+shift keys when launching editor, , you'll prompt asking if want delete preferences.  answer "yes", , re-built.  might have minimize open windows in order see prompt.   have tried uninstalling color efexpro, rebooting , re-installing color efexpro?   other that, can try nik software site see if they've got troubleshooting info.   ken More discussions in Photoshop Elements adobe
